Homework: 4.2.6, 4.3.10. Using our definition of the tangent vector look at the unit circle in the plane and for a point (a,b) on the circle actually calculate the tangent vector to the circle as a vector in the plane.
This is slightly problematic. There are only 2 exercises in the whole chapter. That makes your homework assignment a little short (so you better be sure and do it all well). I will manage to find things for us to do in class. Don't worry.
