Linear Algebra, 110.201, Spring 2004, W. Stephen Wilson

Problem Set Number 10, Due Thurs-Fri April 8-9.

These problems can be discussed in groups but must be handed in by each student. Keep in mind my warnings about how to learn in the Syllabus.

This set is due at the beginning of section. There will be a quiz in section on this material.

There is no reading assignment for the course this week.

There is an exam on Tuesday, April 6, 2004. There are several rooms for the exam. Be sure and bring your ID with you to the exam. The time changes on Sunday, April 4, so be sure and take that into account when you show up for the exam.

Suh's section 1, plus Su's section 7 and Flatley's section 8 will NOT be in Krieger 205. At 10am they will be in Krieger 304 and for 11am they will be in Shaffer 101.

All the other sections, Su: 3; Tinaglia: 2 and 6; Suh: 5 and Reza Syyedali, 4, will be in Krieger 205 at 10 and 11.

The exam will be 50 minutes. You can go to the time that you usually go to lecture even if that is not your official time. Know your section and your TA.

It is a good idea to come to the exam a bit early so we can sort out the seating before we start. This is particularly important for those in the other rooms since sometimes it turns out those rooms already have someone else in them and emergency measures have to be taken.

The exam is on the chapters 4, 5 and 6 of the book. However, you need to know chapters 1-3 to understand those chapters. I have made it clear in class what I think is important, prepare for it.

And, YES, there really will be a quiz in section this week.
