Seating for Exam #2, Tues, April 8, Linear Algebra

We have an exam coming on Tuesday, April 8. It covers chapters 4, 5 and 6, which all depend on chapters 1, 2 and 3. It will not be true-false.

We have some complications for the exam. Our room is not big enough to give the exam in. You must go to the correct room for the exam. You must bring your I.D. card. If you go to the correct room then your T.A. (or a substitue) will be there and they will take attendance. The T.A.s will account for all of the students in the room (during the exam). If there is someone who doesn't seem to belong they will take note of the name etc.

You should take the exam at the time you normally go to lecture whether you go to the correct lecture or not. In order to know where to go you must know your TA and section.

Students in Sections 3 & 7 (T.A. Su) and Sections 4 & 6 (T.A. Loeffler) should go to Hodson 210 (our regular room).

Students in Sections 1 & 5 (T.A. Bailey) and Sections 2 & 8 (T.A. Lee) should go to one of the rooms as follows: 10am exam: Shaffer 100. 11am exam: Shaffer 301.

Calculators will not be allowed. You should not have one, or any papers, on your table or desk for the exam. You should not have any papers or books open around you on the floor. We have lots of seats so spread out. The exam will be handed out face down. Don't look at it until you are told to begin the exam. Everyone will start at the same time and have EXACTLY 50 minutes to do the exam.

Don't panic. Stay calm and do as many problems as you can in the time allotted. At the end of 50 minutes you will be told to quit working. After one minute you will be given a warning. If, after another minute you are still working then you will start to lose points on the exam. We have very little time between exams to clear out the room and get the next group settled.

Good luck. Enjoy.
