Problem Set Number 3, Due Tuesday or Thursday Sept 22 or 24.

These problems can be discussed in groups but must be handed in by each student. Keep in mind my warnings about how to learn in the Syllabus.

This set is due in section. The TA will decide whether it is due at the beginning or end. Lates are not accepted.

The reading assignment for next week is Sections 9.3, and 9.4.

Some of the harder problems are given in large numbers because they are most like those that will be on the exam. However, you should look carefully at the easy ones that are not assigned. If you aren't sure how to do them, better do them for yourself as they are basic and will be assumed.
