Linear Algebra, 110.201, Fall 2003, W. Stephen Wilson

Problem Set Number 10, Due Nov 14.

We (i.e. you) have an exam Tuesday, Nov 11. The exam is at the usual time of 3pm. However, we have 3 rooms for the exam. I want section 1 in Maryland 110 and Section 3 in Maryland 201. It is a good idea to be there a bit early just in case some professor has found an empty classroom and claimed it for their own, or, as happened last time, the registrar assigned us a room in use. Sections 2, 4 and 5 will be in the usual Krieger 205. Bring your JHU ID and keep it out on your desk. Your TA will come around and check you are there.

The exam is on the second 3 chapters of the book, i.e chapters 4, 5 and 6. These, of course, require chapters 1, 2 and 3. I have told you explicitly in class what will be on the exam.

The material is important so we'll have a regular problem set and quiz on Friday, Nov 14. Good quizmanship, a rare quality, would suggest that you understand, by the time the quiz comes, everything you were unclear on for the exam.

These problems can be discussed in groups but must be handed in by each student. Keep in mind my warnings about how to learn in the Syllabus.

This set is due at the beginning of section on Friday, Nov 14. There will be a quiz in section on this material (and any previous material).

There is no reading assignment for the week.
